There were sector boundary errors on all tracks on the original SHN's. I performed a SHNTOOL fix on the wav's for each set and re-encoded the tracks to seekable SHN. The md5s differ from a prior re-release of these SHN's in which the SHNTOOL fix was performed on the entire show, rather than on each set individually. Also the previously "fixed" shns were not seekable - these are.

Subject: Worth checking out

WE NEED SBDS OF THESE 95 SHOWS that are still MISSING!!!! Rhino's fault? Prejudiced uploaders?
Check out the jam after Terrapin. Phil and drums getting it on for a bit before instrument players walk off. Still jamming after Jerry walks off.
Check out 15 min Speedway Boogie
New drumming style and sound in 95 makes these Victims really shine with lots of power.
No rating from me yet as i just dont feel like reasearching another aud recording tonight. My guess is it will be 4 stars but maybe lose a star fir sound quality

Subject: My last show...

This is the first time I'm listening to this show since I attended. I rarely went to post Brent GD shows, I was not a fan of the new sound and lack of sounds from the band.

While dancing at this show, I kept thinking "That's it, the fun is really over. This is my last show." It was quite sad being at show where the Band is everything, you grew up with these cats. You saw shows that simply couldn't be explained, it was beyond magic.
Now, here you are dancing, a lethargic dance, knowing this is your last show. What I remember vividly about this show is spinning during The Other One. I've been to approx. 150 shows, never did I spin, I just always danced my ass off.
I knew during the spin, it was truly the end. I guess I had to do something I never did at a Grateful Dead show? This show has no rating, just a sad ending.

Subject: maybe the best band that ever walked the face of the earth

I would recomend listen to this show and all the shows. The Critics that say there are bad or less than highest (5 star) dead shows are missing out. Dont listen its all part of the same artistry everything they ever did is 100% I only went to one show in 86' but i tell you ive been hooked ever since! You critics have your opinion this is mine.
There never was a bad dead show, not the first one not the last. Wish i had had your tickets!!!

Subject: interesting how they....

I was there too, All three nights. Even while I was there, I was very sad about how they played the first night, then the second night first set, I am sad to say I thought it was god-freakin-awful. And then they did that thing they sometimes did in the late-later days..... out of *nowhere* they remembered how to play, REALLY play. The Victim is really amazing and I would love to know about a Speedway better than this one. The recording doesn't do it justice but if you really listen you can hear the nuances that make it spectacular. I loved the whole second set. Still do! The third night was also really disappointing... but this second set is amazing. I hope someone puts up a good recording someday, if only of this part of the run. :-) 4 stars for the stellar second, and so this show gets some attention... hoping for a better recording!

Subject: fat balloon nails it

Nothing spectacular indeed. Was not at or heard the first night, but I understand that is even worse. I was at this show and couldn't really rememeber anything of interest musically. Pass on this one.

Subject: No easy answers

As another reviewer said, the fourteen minute New Speedway Boogie is easily the highlight of what is otherwise a lackluster show. This audience recording is boomy - a fairly typical result for Oakland Arena AUDs. This was my last GD show and the 20th that I attended in the post-Brent era, and it was probably the least inspired show that I ever saw. Although I was there, I still don't plan to download this one. New Speedway was played 30 times since its breakout on 2/19/91; there are many other modern versions that beat this one.

Subject: Best show of the run.

This is the strongest show of the three night Oakland run, with the band on better form than the previous night, and Jerry especially playing somewhat better. The first set has some shakey moments, but the second set gets off to a fine start with a rocking Victim (gotta love the drum intro) followed by a VERY soulful Speedway Boogie. Sound quality on this one is perhaps not quite as good as the 1st or 3rd nights but it certainly manages to capture the atmosphere in the building. While this show is still a '95, it is worth downloading just for the New Speedway Boogie, which will have the hairs standing on the back of your neck.
